Instructions for Extracting the Dataset

This dataset has been split into multiple zipped files of approximately 20MB to facilitate easier uploads and downloads. Follow the steps below to download and extract the dataset.

Step 1: Download all ZIP files

Ensure you have downloaded all parts of the dataset before attempting extraction. The files will be named something like:

dataset_part_01.zip dataset_part_02.zip dataset_part_03.zip ...

Step 2: Extract each ZIP file

Since each ZIP file contains a portion of the original dataset, you need to extract all of them into the same folder.

On Windows:
  1. Navigate to the folder where the downloaded ZIP files are stored.
  2. Extract each ZIP file by right-clicking and selecting Extract All... or using a tool like WinRAR, 7-Zip, or the built-in Windows extraction tool.
  3. Choose the same extraction folder for all ZIP files.
On Mac/Linux:
  1. Open a terminal and navigate to the folder where the ZIP files are stored:
  2. Extract all ZIP files using the following command: unzip '*.zip' -d extracted_dataset This will extract all ZIP files into a folder named extracted_dataset

Step 3: Verify the Extracted Data

  • Once all ZIP files are extracted, check that all expected files are present.
  • If any files are missing or appear corrupted, ensure all ZIP files were fully downloaded and try extracting again.
